Hello Again

So it has been a really long time since I have blogged. I really need to get better at it since it is somewhat therapeutic. A lot has happened since my last blog. Jeff and I "dated" for about a month, and guess what, that didn't work out. So the divorce is definitely happening. I just wish it would hurry up and be finished! Hopefully it will be before Thanksgiving. Who knows!

School has started back up. Nothing very eventful there except that I am about ready to pull my hair out with some of the issues we are having. Very ready for Thanksgiving break! I will be starting my college courses back up in December to work on my master's in counseling. I have figured out that there may be an easier way for me to become an LCDC (licensed chemical dependency counselor). All I have to do is take a prep course and a test. So, I'm praying very hard that that works out. It would mean more money for me and my kids, which we really need!

Let's see, Jordan and Jenna have started school at TLC and they really enjoy it. They went on their first field trip to the fair in September. They look so cute in their little uniforms. I am so thankful that I have such wonderful grandparents helping us pay for this school!

I had a wreck on the very last day of August on my way to work. Totalled my car. I got a 2009 Nissan Murano. I like it, but it's not loaded like my other car was. Now I am in the middle of a law suit because the other driver's insurance company is disputing the claim. Pain in the rear end!

We had a girls' night Halloween Bunco party this year for Halloween. It was a lot of fun. We were sad that Mitzi wasn't able to make it. We plan on having a theme game night every month, and I can't wait. I love getting together with my girls. They have made me feel so much better during this time. This divorce has hit me very hard. I'm trying to be strong, but it gets the better of me often. Love my girls!! We are taking Christy out to eat for her birthday Wednesday. Sarah had her adorable little boy Brodee. Such a cute and sweet baby!

Oh, my babies turned 3 on September 11th. Unfortunately, their bday party got kind of ruined. It was raining and a lot of people were sick. We had to move it from the park to McDonald's. Mitzi, Addy, Brandice, and Maddy were the only friends who could come because so many were sick. So thankful that they were there! The kids had a great time regardless!

So, I think I'm caught up for now. I'm sure I have left out a whole lot. Maybe I will get better about keeping this updated. Thanks Mitzi for always keeping on me about it! :)

My wonderful/horrible weekend

Last weekend was a good weekend and the most horrible weekend of my life. Saturday the kids, my mom, and I went for a short shopping trip to Texarkana and Sunday my mom, dad, the kids, and I went fishing. Sunday evening Jeff came in and said he wasn't in love with me anymore and that he was only here for the kids. So, I am going through a divorce. Divorce is not fun. I have so many mixed up emotions. I feel angry, hurt, betrayed, cheated, frustrated, confused, shocked, and I could probably keep going. I don't really remember how to be single, and I don't really want to be. There's not a whole lot I can do about it though. I'm just going to be the best mom that I can be and go from there. God will take care of me and my babies.

On a brighter note, I got to have girls' night tonight, and it was so much fun. Sarah, Mitzi, Christy, and I went to Two Senoritas for dinner. It's the most relaxed I have been all week. I really needed that break. It couldn't have come at a more crucial time for me. I know things will get easier, but.............. I'm just so blessed to have such good friends and such a great supportive family, including his! I hope things get better and easier. I need lots of prayers!!!

Last weekend

Wow! It seems like forever since I've posted to my blog. It's been a pretty stressful week for me. My students just finished their last round of testing for the TAKS test. I hope that I really don't have half of my 4th grade class fail reading like I'm afraid of. I will know the results in 2 weeks.

On to happier subjects. Last weekend Jeff and I took the kids to Paris. We ate at TaMolly's and then went to a store called Atwoods. Pretty neat store, like a huge Tractor Supply. They had some pretty good deals on boots and clothes. While we were there Jordan and Jenna got to see some baby chicks. They enjoyed that. We went to South Jefferson Church for the 2nd time. I really think Jordan and Jenna enjoy being in the nursery area with the 2 yr olds, and I really enjoy listening to Brother Tommy. I think we will continue to go to Church there. Feel free to join us!!! We will be going to my Church in Talco for the next 2 weekends though because I will be introducing my partner teacher to a wonderful man there this weekend, and next weekend my mom wants me to sing for Mother's Day! Great inexpensive gift since we always seem to be broke now!!!

We were going to take the kids to the zoo in Tyler this weekend, but with this flu going around that is out of the question. I will post again when I have something more exciting to talk about! :)

Vacation idea

I'm so excited. I think I finally thought of a plausible vacation idea for this summer! I think we will be driving to Gulf Shores, Alabama for a week in July. I miss the ocean! Last summer we went to Galveston, and I was very disappointed with the beach. We had a good time, and the kids enjoyed it, but the beach was just really dirty! I have heard the Gulf Shores is pretty and clean! It will take about 10 hrs. driving, but we get to drive along the coast! I can't wait. It will be a great break from the ordinary! We will probably stop in Lafayette, LA to stay the night so the kids don't get too restless. Lafayette should be about half way there. YEAH!!!! I hope I am not counting my chickens before they hatch. :) Oh well, I'm still excited. Here is a pic of my beautiful kids in Galveston last year.

Easter 2009

So Yuck!!! Easter was cold yet again! I really thought we were going to have a terrible Easter. I had Friday off, but unfortunately got to spend the entire day in bed sick! Blah! Saturday we got up and got ready to go to the Easter Egg Hunt at NTCC which was supposed to start at 11 for my kids' age group. We got there at 10:50 and ALL of the eggs were GONE! We were so upset. They just let everyone hunt together because they said, "a storm was supposed to come." For those of you who don't know, Saturday was beautiful! So, college for no reason, then we went to Wal-Mart. While we were at Wal-Mart, Jenna threw up all down my back! GROSS! I changed clothes in the Wal-Mart parking lot! Of course Jenna was fine after that, thank goodness! Then we went home and got ready to dye our own Easter Eggs. We boiled the eggs, but they didn't boil in time to dye them before our Easter Egg Hunt at Church. So, at 2:00 we went to our Church for our Easter Egg Hunt. I think the kids had a great time swinging, but the hunt was very short. Jordan got one egg and some candy, and Jenna got about 4 eggs and some candy. It was a little disappointing. Then we went home for a nap. Sunday was nasty, rainy, and cold. We went to Church then to Nana and Papa's house for lunch. Even with all of these mishaps we still had a pretty decent Easter. I really enjoyed the time with my children! Especially dying the eggs.

Girls' Night

WOW! I don't think we are ever going to be able to take Mitzi out to eat for her birthday!!! We had to cancel for the fourth time Tuesday! Sarah had drama at her place of employment, and she ended up having to work late!! We were going to try for Saturday, but Mitzi has a birthday part, and I have an Easter Egg hunt! So, we are back on for the following Tuesday! We are going to make that one no matter what! Crazy trying to get all of our schedules together to get out once a month!

So, Easter weekend is right around the corner. Jordan, Jenna, and I are having our pictures taken by Matt Martin this weekend. I know, strange to think he's doing that right? We are doing that Friday. Saturday we are going to an Easter Egg hunt at the college at 11, and then another Easter Egg hunt at 2:00. I can't wait. It will be so much fun watching the kids hunt the eggs! We are going to Church Sunday, then to Jeff's parents to have lunch and probably more Easter Egg hunting! I can't wait for Jordan and Jenna to see what the Easter Bunny brings them. I'm sure I will have more to write after the weekend is over, with lots of pictures! In the meantime, here is a picture of Sarah and Mitzi from our class reunion this year!

Nascar

Jeff, Neal, Ben, and I went to the NASCAR races this past Saturday. My aunt and her boyfriend gave us free tickets. I don't know what it is, but I just can't get into watching cars go round and round and round. It kind of made me sick to my stomach. Oh well, it was a new experience and was not that bad. I had a good time hanging out with Jeff, Ben, and Neal but I missed my babies!!

Sunday Jeff and I took Jordan and Jenna to McDonalds to play. We try to do that at least once a week since there is no where else to go in Mt. Pleasant. Then we went to Nana and Papa's to play with Alex and Owen for a little bit. After we did that we went home and took a nap. Then we went back to Nana and Papa's for pizza dinner and to play some more. We had a very good weekend.

My last Ethics class was last Thursday and I got an A. Yippee for me!!!!!! Only 26 more hours to go after my summer classes. Sarah, Mitzi, and I are going out to eat tonight so I will have pics for that later!!!!

Jenna's First Pedicure

Jenna had her first real pedicure today. She did such a great job. She sat very still and didn't even come close to messing up her toe nail polish. She even got little flowers drawn on both of her big toes. It was so much fun. I forgot my camera, but Mitzi was nice enough to take a couple of pictures for me. After our pedicures, Mitzi and Addy came to McDonald's for lunch and play. We had a great day. I'm looking forward to our next girls' day together! It's so neat to be able to do these wonderful things together. Now I have to figure out what "manly" thing I can do with Jordan. :) Maybe I will take him fishing or something? Or, I might try to think on that a little more!

Disney on Ice

Jeff and I took the kids to see Disney on Ice at the American Airlines Center in Dallas last weekend. We had so much fun! Jordan and Jenna loved it. They couldn't take their eyes off of all the characters. We saw Donald and Daisy Duck, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Goofy, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Lilo and Stitch, Peter Pan, and Tinker Bell. It lasted 2 hours, but Jordan and Jenna didn't get restless until the last 30 minutes, which is great for 2 yr olds! I think their favorite character was Tinker Bell. It was very cool. I would encourage everyone with kids to see it at least once!

This was obviously Jenna's funny face!!! She was saying cheese really big!! Too funny!

I had so much fun spending time with Jordan and Jenna over spring break. I just wish it could have lasted longer. We played at McDonald's, played outside, Disney on Ice, etc. I love being with my babies!!!!

My Birthday

Well, today is my birthday. How very uneventful. I was awakened at 6:15AM by my friend Donald telling me happy birthday. Then My wonderful little man, Jordan, woke up and snuggled with me for a while. That is by far the greatest way to wake up. Jordan loves to cuddle. After we cuddled for a while, I had to commence with my oh so wonderful routine of getting ready for work! I take Jordan and Jenna to their Nana's house on Thursdays and Fridays. Today they get to go to Trinity Baptist Church for Bible school. They love playing with other kids! I am going to take off one Thursday so I can go watch them. Last week their Nana told me that there were lots of hugs all around when they left. So strange how fast they are growing! I am going to find tickets for Disney on Ice today. I can't wait to take them to that. I will post pictures from it after we go.
My aunt is going to take me out to eat for lunch today in Mt. Vernon for my birthday. That will be a nice change from the ordinary. Jeff got me a really cool Ipod Nano for my birthday. It plays videos, hold pictures, and lots of music. It's amazing what new technology there is now. Funny thing is I had to have a student download songs on it for me! Oh well. Well, I will try to continue posting every day! We will see how successful I am. TTYL!

First Blog

Well, Mitzi has encouraged me to start a blog, so I thought I would give it a try. I have adorable twins. A boy, Jordan Ray, and a girl, Jenna Lee. The picture is of them with my wonderful mom. They are my life! I love being a mother. It is by far the greatest adventure I have been on. We are hopefully going to Disney on Ice in Dallas over spring break. I think it will be lots of fun! I will definitely be posting pictures if we go.

This has been a crazy week so far. I teach 4th and 5th grade, and my students took their first TAKS test for the year yesterday! I hope they did okay. I actually had a few who were still working on their test after 5:00PM. My last one finished at 6:00! It is crazy!!!! I find out in two weeks how my 5th graders did, but have to wait until May to find out about 4th.

I have also started back to college to get my master's degree in counseling. I have done well in my two classes so far, but they are starting to kick my butt a little!

My birthday is tomorrow, so Sarah, Mitzi, and I went out to eat last night for it! That was by far the highlight of my week! I LOVE our girls' nights! I am so glad we started doing that. We are also going to get together for a mom and daughter pedicure date! Can't wait!!! Jenna is going to love it. She is such a girly girl!

Well, I'm not promising a new post everyday, but as soon as I can! Enjoy our blog!
